Our macadamia nut oil is from certified organic cultivation and comes from Kenya.

The macadamia nut tree is an evergreen tree, approx. 15 m in height, which after 7 to 8 years produces a stone fruit similar to chestnuts and 2-3 cm in size. In its hard shell it encloses the precious nut, which consists to 70% of a light-yellow, fine oil which tastes nutty. This “Queen of the Nuts“ has a high content in palmitoleic acid which can also be found in the sea buckthorn fruit and avocado oil.

Effect

Due to its high content in palmitic acid the oil is easily absorbed and most suitable for lotions and body oils developed for dry and sensitive skin or brittle and dry hair. In lavera Natural Cosmetics macadamia nut oil is used in “Rose Milk Repair Shampoo ” from the HAIR system.
