Quick Everyday Style

Between washes your hair lends itself very well to loose updos or plaited styles. It is not as soft anymore as it is just after you have massaged in care products, and it has more staying power. If the roots already seem to be a little greasy, use a little dry shampoo, which will also give it an extra volume boost.

Side plait:

You will need: a hair bobble, hair pins and hairspray to fix your style into place

  1. Simply pull all your hair over one shoulder.
  2. If you have layered or shoulder-length hair, secure it at the back of your head with the hair pins to tame any escaping tresses.
  3. Gather all your hair and divide it into three equal strands, and start to pass them over the other in turn.
  4. Tie up the ends with an invisible hair bobble (without a metal ring).

Ta dah!

Loose bun

This style is suitable for the day, but with the right earrings or a classy hairband it is perfect for evening occasions too.

You will need: A hairbrush with natural bristles, a hair band, hair pins and hairspray to fix your style into place

  1. To conjure up volume, backcomb all of your hair on the back of your head with a natural bristle hairbrush.
  2. Then gently tame the top layer of hair, because the hairstyle could otherwise look a little messy.
  3. Now put your hairband on, slightly at an angle from the back of your head (as you would a bando hat in winter)
  4. Pull up the lower ends of the hair strand by strand, pushing the ends from the top under the hairband (where the hairband is resting on the hair). Work from the front to the back.
  5. It is best if you secure the strands of hair you have stuffed into the hairband with a few hair grips.
  6. Once you have reached the back, secure the strands loosely.
  7. If this is a little too tricky, you can also tie your hair in a normal bun and pull it out a little, to get that perfect messy bun look.
  8. Finally fix everything in place with hairspray.

Hey presto!

Reverse side plait

This style will see you through the day and into the night, and will also hold its own at the gym.
You will need: a hair bobble, hair pins and hairspray to fix your style into place

  1. Start by sectioning off the upper section of your hair. To do this, pull your index fingers through your hair starting above your ears until they meet, either in the middle or at the side, depending on where you want the plait to start.
  2. This will give you two strands. Take the third one from the middle.
  3. Now start to weave the three strands (they should be about the same thickness) under each other (not over the top of each other, as you would with a “normal” plait!) This looks as if the plait is upside down.
  4. Add another strand of hair each time you weave the strands under each other.
  5. It is important to pull your hair tight at each step, because otherwise strands will escape from your plait.
  6. When you have finished, tie up the ends with an invisible hair bobble (without a metal ring).

Ta dah!
